The Work We Take On
We work on residential garage doors and the openers, springs, tracks, cables, and panels that go with them. That covers torsion and extension spring replacement, broken cable repair, off-track doors, opener swaps, roller and hinge replacement, and full door replacement when a repair isn't worth doing.
A lot of the doors we see in this area went up between 1968 and 2003, with most of the stock dating to the 1980s and 90s. That matters for a quote because a door from that era often has hardware that doesn't match what's sold today, different spring wind, older track spacing, opener rail systems that have been discontinued. We can usually still service it, but we won't quote a exact price until we know the make and rough install year.
What we don't do: we don't quote sight-unseen replacements for commercial overhead doors, and we won't give a firm number on a job where the opening itself may be out of square until someone has measured it. Those calls turn into an on-site estimate instead of a phone quote, and we'll tell you that up front rather than guess.
Who Does the Work
The person who answers your call is the same person coordinating who shows up at your door. We don't run a call center that dispatches blind, whoever comes out has already heard what you described and knows what parts to bring based on that conversation.
We're not going to invent a history here. What we can tell you is what we work on every week: torsion springs on doors installed in the 80s and 90s, openers that have outlived their warranty, panels dented from a car bumper or a storm. If a job needs a part we don't stock on the truck, we'll say so and tell you when we can get it, rather than pad the estimate to cover the guess.
What Happens After You Call
When you call (941) 491-6129, we ask a handful of questions: the door's approximate age, whether it's one panel wide or two, what it's doing (won't open, makes noise, off track, opener runs but door doesn't move), and whether anyone's tried to force it recently. Those answers tell us the likely cause and the parts we'd need.
What we can quote over the phone: standard spring replacement, cable replacement, roller replacement, and most opener installs, once we know the door width and current opener brand. What we can't price without seeing it: anything involving a bent track, a door that's come off its rollers, water damage to the panels, or an opening that looks out of square. Those need a look before we commit to a number, because guessing wrong either underquotes you or overquotes you, and neither helps.
Once we've got enough to work with, we'll give you a number and a window for when we can get out to you. If the job turns out to need more once we're on site, say a track we couldn't see the condition of over the phone, we'll tell you before we do the work, not after.

For anything involving a bent track, water damage, or a door that's come off its rollers, we need to see it first. We'll tell you which category your job falls into when you call.
Do you work on doors from the 1980s and 90s?
Yes, and most of what we see in this area is from that era. Hardware from that period sometimes doesn't match current parts exactly, so we may need to source an older-style spring or bracket rather than grab one off the shelf. We'll let you know if that's the case before we quote.
